ABOUT ME.

My name is Alexander V. Casella born and raised in Anahiem, California. Immediately after high school I join the United States Air Force in search for guidance of what I wanted to do in life. Until the 4 year marker, I decided it wasn’t for me. I took a leap of faith and separated in 2016 and went into film school.

Going into the motion picture business was a jarring experience. For one, I didn’t know anyone, and two, I didn’t know where I should start. So I thought film school would help with that network and it did…to an extent.

Starting out my career mostly in camera department. I moved around quickly from being a camera utility - 2nd assistant camera - 1st assistant camera. Although that journey was very short, it wasn’t long until I found and fell in love with camera operating. Followed by and had an introduction on a film set to a steadicam rig. That’s where I found my true calling. I thought I could combine working out, which I love, and operating cameras…sign me up!

Currently, I’m a camera/steadicam operator with a lot of hopes & dreams to operator on the big films you would see in theatres & in your own home. My love for putting value into a visual story is something hard to describe to people and being a part of something bigger means so much to me. So, I hope to see you on set! Much love, mahalo!
